Celebrating not only the game of the royals, but also supporting the cause of the girl child, was the Amity Polo Cup, which was held in the capital recently.Every year, the cup is organised to support Amitasha – a project under the Amity Humanity Foundation for the underprivileged girl child. “Amity is committed to both, the sport of Polo through the Amity Riding and Polo Academy, and the well being of underprivileged girls through the Amity Humanity Foundation,” said Ashok K Chauhan, founder president, Amity.
Much Critical: Making the most of this beautiful Sunday afternoon were childhood sweethearts
Chitrangda Singh and Jyoti Randhawa, with their son Zoravar. With “Yeh Saali Zindagi” getting rave reviews, we asked Chitrangda how it’s going for her, and she replied, “I am happy with the response.” And what about Jyoti? Did he like it? “I liked it, but I had expected much more,” came an instant reply, to which he added, “I don’t have any suggestions to give her, but I’d just say it could have been better.” Super critical, huh? “Yes, we are not going gaga over the movie at home, and I like that,” said Chitrangda.
Catch me if you can: The man of the match, yet again, was Samir Suhag. He lead his team – Cavalry Jindal – to victory by a good margin of 4 goals. He played at his best taking the ball right through the goal mouth unmarked. Major Ravi Rathore too did his bit for the team. From the Sahgal Stud, Vishal Singh and Gaurav put up a good challenge.
